Hello! My peers describe me as versatile, while I see myself as curious, much like Sherlock Holmes. My name is Atul Kumar Kar, and I'm from India. You might find me playing my guitar one day or delving into business economics and reading company profiles another.
A bit about my journey: I completed my undergraduate degree in computer science engineering and soon joined Deloitte's SAP Consulting service line. Over the course of five years at Deloitte, I worked with a diverse range of clients across industries. Some of my major works include – creating an automated system to boost sales growth for a media and entertainment client by 15%, building an interface to improve credit card reconciliation through Affirm & Stripe by 30% for a fitness industry client and achieving 40% reductions in financial accounting errors by automating financial accruals and leading data migration efforts for a pharmaceutical client. Being involved in different projects made me understand client needs, be adaptable to changes, and build solutions that create value and long-term impact.
However, my curiosity for business, investing, and learning more about strategic management led me to pursue an MBA at the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. I am a people's person who thrives on building strong relationships and connecting with others on a deeper level. Post-MBA, I aim to bring these skills to an organization where I can tackle complex problems, drive material change, and initiate positive, long-term impact. I am driven by challenges and problems, but what truly brings meaning to my work is social responsibility and community engagement. I look forward to contributing my business acumen, relationship-building skills, and client-focused value creation to your organization.
