Howdy, my name is Brent Pigg and I’m currently studying toward my MBA at Texas A&M university. Growing up in East Texas, I found myself constantly looking for things to do so I became very interested in things like hunting, raising livestock, and fishing. Due to the reputation I had built up around my community, I decided to stick around and earn my “Bachelor’s in Finance and Accounting” from Stephen F. Austin State University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. While in school, I had both a full-time and part-time job which significantly contributed to my development in time management and overall desire to achieve excellence. My full-time job title was Finance and Operations Manager for an auction company based out of Dallas that I had worked for since I was 15. This role typically involved leading a group of individuals in efficiently liquidating assets and maximizing revenue for clients that ranged from small residential homeowners to the Dallas Court System. I faced challenges on a daily basis but honed my skills to the point where I was placed as a lead team manager in the liquidation of a $55 million business that was shut down for fraud in Downtown Dallas. I was exposed to the process of hiring my own crew and leading them in a tough work environment, all while going to school. Later on, I decided to get my Real Estate Sales License to expand my knowledge of law and practice in that field. Since then, I have gotten very good at the art of sales and negotiation and have learned to work through and save deals that have gotten very close to falling through. After continuing to work for these jobs after undergrad, I decided to enroll in the MBA Program at Texas A&M University to be able to enhance my skillsets to meet the expectations of my employers who are looking for someone to trust.
