Howdy! I’m Carson Irvin. My career began in my mom’s dental office, where I honed in my grit, hard work, and the importance of tackling challenging tasks. These early lessons became the foundation of my determination whether assisting with construction and design of medium and high-voltage substations during peak Texas summers or stepping up when tough jobs, like climbing transformers to test the taps or crawling underneath the transformer to test the oil, I was the person to get the job done.

These hands-on experiences taught me how to communicate across cultures and build relationships with people of all backgrounds. At Dashiell Corporation, I contributed to American Electric Power’s substation projects, collaborating with diverse teams and clients to design complex substations. This role strengthened my technical and interpersonal abilities.

As an undergraduate, I co-led the design and development of a high-fidelity audio amplifier, managing both the power supply and the project itself. Navigating setbacks, I kept the team focused until we delivered a finished product. This achievement helped me earn a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, with a focus in Power, from Texas A&M’s College of Engineering. I am now pursuing my MBA at Mays Business School, aiming to merge technical expertise with business acumen to shape the future of the energy industry.

At my core, I thrive on understanding systems, solving difficult problems, and discovering better ways to power the world. I am driven to create forward-thinking energy solutions and excited about the opportunities ahead to make a lasting impact. Thank you.
