I make drugs and change lives. With a background in chemical engineering and psychology from Purdue University, I started my career in the pharmaceutical industry. For three years of my career, I worked as a process engineer at Catalent and at Eli Lilly. In those three years I worked with a variety of drug portfolios, including both large and small molecules. During my career, I, also, completed my research on development of continuous filtration set for end-to-end manufacturing for a chemotherapy drug called Lomustine which primarily treats Hodgkin’s lymphoma. That research is now published in the journal of chemical engineering. Throughout my career, I have developed key organizational skills as well as leadership skills whether it was while investigating chemical leaks using the root cause analysis or commissioning new equipment to prevent three months of downtime in a production line for a critical drug. My career spans a variety of bioburden mitigation strategy development to prevent protein contamination for clinical trial drugs which has been important to maintain supply chain and operations as well as save the company a lot of money.
I am very passionate about helping and empowering people to reach roles where they can make an impact as well. I enjoy having insightful conversations and enabling connections. I have been a part of United Way Indiana to help fundraise money for local homeless shelters. I also developed a series for over 100 aspiring women leaders at Purdue University, called Women in Leadership Series, to provide a platform for women to connect with diverse mindsets and create an enriching learning experience. The drive to help people and refine my skills led me to the MBA and MSA program at Mays business school at Texas A&M University. Excellence is a value I have strived for throughout my journey and that being a core A&M value aligns very well with my values and my future goals.
