Guillermo Dillon

Howdy, my name is Guillermo Dillon and I’m pretty sure I have one of the most nontraditional backgrounds you’ll ever read. I started my career 7 years ago as a teacher of ancient languages, that’s Latin and ancient Greek.

From then on, I’ve gained experience in leadership as dean of upper school, in language consulting by advising institutions around the country, and entrepreneurship by launching a humanities-based startup in Mexico.

I am now pursuing an MBA at Mays Business School confident that I can leverage my strengths and transition into the corporate world.

Coming from a teaching background, especially one that involved complex languages and ancient civilizations, has given me hours and hours of experience being in front of people, where I had to simplify large amounts of data and present it in an attractive manner to different stakeholders.

In addition to my educational background, the global exposure I’ve had by living in Mexico, the U.S., Europe, and working with an institute from the Middle East allows me to connect with people across cultures and quickly adapt to different environments.

In my time as an educator, my goal was to shape the lives of the students in my classroom, and now I wish to help businesses in creating products and services that will change the lives of many.
