Howdy! I’m Jack Alagood. I'm an electrical engineer looking to build a brighter, more sustainable world with cutting edge solar technology. I enjoy designing and streamlining business operations using data analytics, but more than anything else, I love to learn. I want to make sense of the world and its systems, so I thoroughly evaluate a problem before finding a solution.
I've interned in three different industries: materials testing, battery testing, and variable speed drives. At Intertek PSI, I was tasked with cleaning and organizing lab equipment to ensure total compliance with company quality and safety standards on top of clearing a yearlong backlog of concrete cores. At Interstate Batteries, I used Excel macros to automate data collection for two key compliance tests, reducing the time to record samples by 90%. And at Halliburton, I updated formal procedures for variable speed drive assembly to assist with training future drive technicians. I’m also experienced in a variety of design software such as Altium and PowerWorld.
I believe in making a difference in people’s lives. For me, that means establishing clean energy as the principal source of affordable electricity. With the tools to build a better world seemingly at our fingertips, I think my ideas can be a catalyst to spark real change
