Kat Haight

Howdy! My name is Katherine Haight and I am a current candidate at Mays Business School pursuing a dual master of an MBA and MEng in Biomedical Engineering.

My undergraduate career was the place through which I fully discovered my love for bettering patient’s lives through technology. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and knew I wanted the entirety of my future lay in revolutionizing the world of healthcare through the design and development of new and innovative medical devices. I decided that, although I wanted to spend the first few years in research and development, I wanted to strive to one day establish my own medical device company.

Throughout my academic career, I have excelled in the creative production of medical devices in theoretical contexts under the guide of professional sponsors who would use this product in their everyday lives. I have been placed at the forefront of making difficult decisions in various groups for the betterment of the solution, which allowed me to help guide others down a new path of designing medical devices with differing perspectives.

I strive to create positive environments that encourage those around me to reach their potential who also push me to achieve my aspirations. As a commander and strategic thinker, I have learned to direct and unite large groups of people towards a common goal. I am looking to work for companies that embody the Aggie core values that I most closely align with while bettering the quality of life for humanity.
