Howdy, I’m Kate Hester, and I’ve been building order out of chaos since childhood. As the oldest of four and a natural organizer, I learned early on how to keep people and plans on track. Through my education in Industrial Engineering, those instincts became a toolkit of process improvement, risk management, and people-first leadership.

Even in the face of challenges, I have consistently led teams to tangible project outcomes. As an event chairman, I led my sorority’s philanthropy team away from our costly physical marketing strategy to a digital-first approach to generate a 27% increase in funds raised from the previous year all while reducing costs. As a program management intern at Texas Instruments, I built a Visual Basic tool that cut the time to generate project planning documents from days down to just minutes and created a web framework from scratch to track projects.

Over the years, I’ve learned how to lead and communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, from middle school summer campers all the way to US Army researchers. To strengthen my leadership and complement my technical skills I’m now an MBA candidate at Texas A&M, but his experience and attitude makes it into every corner of my life.

Outside the classroom, my endurance goals keep me sharp, with multiple Colorado 14ers under my belt, half-marathon training, and an upcoming Kilimanjaro climb. They mirror how I manage projects. I plan thoroughly, assess risk, adapt quickly, and finish strong. I’m known both personally and professionally for developing people, coordinating moving parts, and staying relentlessly positive while driving to the finish. If you need a project manager who reduces waste, keeps trains running on time, and rallies teams to deliver when it matters, I’m all in.
