Liam Snyder

Howdy, I am Liam Snyder, I am a mechanical engineer from Texas A&M. My academic career can only be defined as diverse inside and outside the classroom. Honestly everyone is getting the same degree in engineering, but what I wanted to take away from my time in academia was a strong baseline for how to be successful in solving any problem that came my way. I developed these skills through the Corps of Cadets where I learned leadership and selfless service, my engineering organization (Aggies Create), where I helped undergraduate students achieve success in engineering consultancy projects and also my studies, where I took every lecture I had, and tried to apply the deeper engineering knowledge that I might use in every day life. Now I am focused on my masters in business administration where I’m learning to combine my knowledge set to actually profit off the technical knowledge I’ve gained from engineering. If engineering taught me how to solve problems, business has taught me how to solve them with people. I believe that people are the heart of what makes a company successful. Building cultures that last will always beat out a what some companies just don’t get these days. Solving problems comes from the people, and the leaders that guide them. I hope to work for a company that shares my values of respect, integrity, and selfless service, so that I know I can bond with anyone I might meet at the coffee machine.
