Logan Davis

Howdy! My name is Logan Davis. I am a Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Tech. graduate from Texas A&M University, set to graduate with my Engineering MBA from May’s Business School in 2026. My background is extensive with hands on experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, test engineering, and leadership.

I have served as Lead Powertrain Engineer on our university’s highly decorated student formula team. In this role, I led a team of 9 engineers to design, build, tune, and race a custom engine and drivetrain package for our car to compete at the international Formula SAE competition against 115+ other universities. Thorough communication and strong engineering practices ultimately paid off when our team won first place in North America.

Outside of school, I have worked as a production welder for National Oilwell (NOV), where I gained experience in manufacturing, process efficiency, precision, and quality control. I have also worked for National Oilwell (NOV) as a mechanical engineering intern in their R&D division, where I contributed to the development of next-generation electric fracking pumps and remotely operated drilling rigs. Most recently, I worked as a motorsports engineering intern for the HAAS Automation Company at their NASCAR headquarters in Charlotte, where I gained experience in the design, production, and setup of next-generation NASCAR race cars.

As I gain more perspective across industries, I’m eager to learn how to lead more effective teams in a modern engineering environment. Now, through my Engineering MBA, I’m building on this foundation that will translate into roles that combine technical leadership with strategic thinking in sectors such as racing, advanced manufacturing, or automotive design.

Cumulatively, I’m passionate about working in teams to find creative solutions to real world engineering problems, complemented by my extensive experience in motorsports and production industries, and driven by my unmatched work ethic. I look forward to leveraging my skills and experiences to contribute to a fast paced and impactful workplace, and I look forward to exploring opportunities for growth that lie ahead. Thank you.
