Howdy, my name is Matthew Owen, and I'm passionate about solving complex technical challenges that complement essential business strategies. With this, I am particularly interested in the semiconductors and defense industries, as I thrive in fast-paced environments that demand innovation and collaboration.

As far as my professional experience, I have spent three summers interning at Los Alamos National Laboratory. While I was there, I designed a solution for a manufacturing process bottleneck, which resulted in an 800% improvement in production efficiency. I also received my DOE Q clearance, which demonstrates my ability to handle sensitive work and uphold national security standards.

Last May I graduated with my bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, and I am currently pursuing my MBA at Mays Business School. For my senior capstone project, I led a team in developing a custom gas monitoring device. My role was to develop printed circuit boards to handle complex power conversion and to help with microcontroller integration. This hands-on experience with circuit design, fabrication, and testing has given me transferable expertise that applies well to the semiconductor industry.

Looking ahead, I’m seeking opportunities where I can meaningfully contribute alongside my peers, I can collaborate on projects that matter, and I help teams innovate faster. So whether that is engineering solutions or improving processes, my main goal is to make a lasting impact. Thank you for your time.
