Paras Patel

Howdy, I am Paras Patel. I have a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University. I am very passionate about manufacturing and am open to learning through different industries. My goal is to develop my skills and gain new experiences through new opportunities and grow into a leadership-oriented career path.

I did my undergraduate degree in manufacturing engineering because I like getting my hands dirty. I prefer the applications of things rather than the theory which can be seen in my previous experiences. With Ball Corporation as a Manufacturing Management Intern, I was able to get firsthand experience about their aluminum can manufacturing process. This experience gave me the opportunity to use my engineering skills like CAD and problem solving where I designed parts that were machined and implemented into their process. I was assigned a project to implement new operational practices that help improve the manufacturing process. Doing this I was able create new ideas through problem solving and implement them using team based roll out or training.

This is where I found my spark to be a leader. I wanted to help my coworkers at the plant with their roles as I implemented my new practices. Doing so I was able to make meaningful connections and learn even more about the manufacturing process. I have leadership experience from this and from my engineering capstone project where I served as the project engineering on my team which won 1st place in our major.

These experiences drove me to pursue my MBA so I can apply it in the real world a make a difference that impacts the rest of my team and company for the better
I'm currently looking for an opportunity that allows me to utilize both my engineering foundation and my business education. I’m particularly excited about opportunities in manufacturing, production development, and operations.
