Howdy! My name is Peyton Vos. I am a recent graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology. My studies gave me a solid foundation in process optimization, lean manufacturing, and mechanical design, which I’ve reinforced through three internships and a hands on capstone project.

My first internship with the City of Dallas introduced me to public infrastructure projects. I analyzed paving and drainage plans, recommended solutions to compliance issues, and worked with project engineers to revise designs and verify quantities. This experience taught me how engineering decisions impact communities and exposed me to project management in the public sector.

At Stream Flo in Houston, I shifted to the equipment side of the industry. I assembled and tested wellhead systems, designed specialized service tools, and conducted drafting and stress calculations. Seeing both mechanical assembly and design furthered my understanding of product lifecycle and quality control. Most recently, I interned with Binkley Barfield in College Station. I used MicroStation to update utility design plans, identify potential clashes, and exported data into Google Earth for better spatial planning. I also worked on pipeline design drawings and reports, sharpening my attention to detail and collaboration skills.

For my capstone project, sponsored by Los Alamos National Laboratory, I helped design and build a robot capable of excavating and traversing waste. Working on the mechanical design and testing phases taught me how to translate conceptual ideas into functioning prototypes under real world constraints.

Beyond engineering, I’ve strengthened my communication and leadership abilities as an Officer of the Texas A&M Golf Club, where I recruited members and represented the club at official events. I was also a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and other engineering societies.

I’m now pursuing an MBA to broaden my strategic and financial understanding. I’m excited to find an organization that values innovation and continuous improvement. I’d welcome the chance to discuss how my engineering experience, leadership abilities, and business training can contribute to a team focused on making a positive difference.
